Sponsorship

Thank you for considering sponsorship of Romancing Alaska.  We offer two locations to place your banner advertisement: On the very top of a page and on the bottom just above the line dividing the links back to maps and information.   Each page has a maximum of two ads.  The ad must be no wider than 750 pixels and no taller than 100 pixels, must be in .jpg or .gif format and be no larger than 100Kb.  (If you have a fancier banner we can discuss whether it will work on our site.)  We will provide a clickable link from your ad to your homepage if you desire.  Each spot costs $30 per month.  This is a flat fee.  There are no "per click" charges.  All ad runs must be paid in advance.  Your ad will appear on the page that you pay for and it will not be removed until the period for which you paid has run out.  You may or may not be able to renew, depending on whether another business has purchased the spot after your time period expires.  The $30 per ad space per month is subject to increase.  However, we will not charge more for ads for which the customer has already paid.  Example: An ad placed in May 2007 to run through the end of September 2007 currently costs $150.  If the rate increases in August 2007, that ad is still completely paid through September and the business is not required to pay additional for the months already purchased.  All ads run full months beginning with the first day of each month.  All purchases are final and there are no refunds once an ad is placed.  An ad cannot be moved once it is placed.  However, if the url changes for your website, we can change the hyperlink location.  Any temporary ad (Google ad or any ad that is not specifically listed in the ad space availability chart) can be replaced by your ad.  We delete the temporary ad and put yours in its place.  To see ad space availability, click here.  If a sponsor's ad is in a position you would like, you can purchase time after the current ad, and your ad will replace the current ad when the current sponsor's ad time runs out.  Again, you can review the availability chart to determine the next available time period for that ad position.

To place your ad, please fill out the form below.  After you have completed and sent the form,  please send a copy of your banner to joanns@gci.net.  We do not permit ads for adult material, alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, drugs and drug paraphernalia, or any other product not suitable for children.  This is a "G" rated site.  Once your ad is approved we will email you with your total bill.  We will not post your ad or reserve the spot for you until we receive payment.  At this time we only accept payment in the form of a check, money order or cashier's check.

We cannot guarantee the availability of our site.  Our site is hosted on a server that we neither own nor control.  So far we have not noticed any downtime with the service provider, and believe that we have found a dependable service.  However, if we do experience difficulties, we will find a more reliable service provider.
