Finger Lake Campground
 This
is a very nice campground in the Wasilla/Palmer area.
This area is about as developed as you will find in terms of
state/federal campgrounds. The area
provides plenty of boating opportunities. This
is a fee area, even for day use. There
are 41 campsites, a very nice picnic area and even RV hookups, which are rare in
state parks. There is water, toilets
and even a public phone (easier to have when close to a populated
area).
To find this campground, head north into Palmer on the
Glenn Highway. Turn left on the
Wasilla Highway. Turn right on
Trunk road. Take a left on Bogard
Road. The entrance to the
campground will be on the left hand side of Bogard.
