Tatlanika Campground and RV Park
 This is
a very nice campground
we located to the south of Fairbanks on the Parks
Highway. Privately owned and
operated this area is open to the public. With
only eleven campsites it is rather small, but very well kept.
Several of the campsites are located right along the Tanana River. And
the restrooms have flush toilets!!! and showers!!!!
The campground will be on the right side of the Parks
Highway as one is driving north toward Fairbanks at mile 276, just before Nenana.
Look to the right for the huge fish wheel immediately after crossing a green bridge.
The grounds feature
toilets and showers, water,
an RV
dump station, and RV hookups. There
were picnic tables and fire rings at each of the campsites.
There is a small store where campers can buy necessities (including ice
cream!). There is also a very nice
gift shop stocked with items hand crafted by Alaskans.
We enjoyed wandering around the old artifacts and taking pictures of
their interesting Alaskana.
